Our two-hour hike in the rain and mud was well worth it to reach the beautiful Cachalú Biological Reserve. This unique oak forest has been part of our Adopt-A-Rainforest programme for many years. Julianne Schrader, manager of the Rainforest Alliance’s education programme, Al Stenstrup, director of education programmes at Project Learning Tree, and I were spending the week with our Sustainable Agriculture Network partners at Fundación Natura.
